Help Wanted:
I have recently been working with Dallas Mayr’s estate to put together a comprehensive bibliography of Jack Ketchum books – Not just from the United States, but from around the world.
Jack Ketchum has been published in the US, the UK, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, China, South Korea, Japan, and Italy*
As someone who worked with him for 20 years, and continues to work with the estate, I would like to dispel the supposition that I have a copy of everything – I don’t. Maybe 99.9998%, but there are things I am missing. Another thing people may know, but don’t consider the ramifications thereof, is that Dallas was a very generous person – often giving away or selling his personal copies of his works, sometimes to the point of not “keeping one for himself.”
As such, there are things that the estate does not own either.
Additionally (I love you, Dallas), things sometimes slipped through the cracks, and he would forget to mention something to me, and I’d only find out about it years later.
Which brings us here.
There are two Greek editions that I am unable to find much information on:
- The Girl Next Door.
Apparently, there is an edition from the year 2000. Goodreads and the web only have the 1998 cover art, but the description I have does not match this, or the 2011 edition, or the 2018 edition. All I know about this is that the cover has “kind of a scary looking doll with wild hair,” and the copyright page has “2000” above the ISBN, instead of “1998.” - Red
There was also, apparently, a 2004 edition that is different from the 2002 Edition. Based on the description I have for the 2000 Greek edition of The Girl Next Door (above), I’m wondering if this mysterious edition might be part of a series that was published that may have included both, and, God forbid, more. I’m only saying “God forbid” because two books gnawing at my completist tendencies is more than enough.

If you have any information on either of these editions (including leads on obtaining copies), please reach out to me at webmaster@jackketchum.net. My main goal through every iteration of this website is to be as thorough and complete as possible. Your help is much appreciated.
